Nov. 8th, 2004 11:20 pmFirst off - if anyone wants a free copy of The Princess Bride book, let me know. We were doing some returns today and we were going to throw them away because they were striplisted, and I couldn't bear to do it. They're in perfectly good condition, aside from the fact that the front cover is missing. I'm even willing to pay for postage. I have three copies, so if you want one, leave a comment.
And I have to pimp - go read
sabershadowkat's Smallville fic. It's amazing.
And
wesleysgirl started an LJ community that I'm helping out called
ficuplines. It's a co-writing community for people to find cowriters for either a WIP, or a completely new fic, or whatever. It's open to all fandoms and even for original work.
Went to a concert last night - which was lots of fun. It was Matthew West (who's great and adorable), Mark Schultz (who's great and adorable X2), and Avalon (who were also great).
After his first song, Mark started telling us about how his voice is weird if he doesn't warm up right before a show and started playing some Styx. And then he told us about how he decided to ride his bike to Borders (which isn't exactly close), got lost, ended up in Wilmington (which is a good 10-15 miles away), and then got directions back from some bikers, which took him on the scenic route. It's one of those things isn't funny, but it is - especially the way he told it. And I happened to be waiting outside before the show for my friend, and he rode past me. And I did one of those, "Wait...that looks like..." and it ended up that it was.
I think that's everything.
