Watched Men With Brooms and That Thing You Do! recently. Enjoyed them both immensely. Was highly amused to find that Fountains of Wayne wrote the song "That Thing You Do" and submitted it in a contest for the movie and then recorded it and because of the movie, it helped launch their career.

Saw some pretty good gay foreign films - Yossi & Jagger (in Hebrew with English subtitles) and The Man I Love (in French with English subtitles).


And here's a little math problem for you lot:

Adrian has a list of about 30 videos (movies currently out on video) she wants to see. One movie rental is $3.86. She got the Blockbuster Movie Pass, because it seemed like a good deal. If the Movie Pass is $25.48 and Adrian is able to watch all thirty movies this month, how much will she save?

I've been thinking of getting Yossi & Jagger. Was it any good? I'm not in the mood for an unhappy ending though, so warn me if you feel you need to. *g*

Hmmm, I have The Man I Love on my list too, I think. What's that one like?

I thought Yossi & Jagger was really good. But, no, the ending isn't the happiest. But I thought it was a good ending.

The Man I Love is also really good, but also doesn't have a very happy ending.

So, yeah, I definitely suggest you see both of them, just know the endings aren't the happiest. :-)
