And treebee - the rant was meant with lots of love and basically went along the lines of, "I applaud you guys for cancelling your memberships, since you don't agree with the company, but considering how big it is, how much good is it going to do aside from clearing your own consciouses? If you really want to do something, you should do something a little more proactive."

Don't want to get into a debate any more than you do (I'm pretty "whatever" on whether or not we end up agreeing on this topic), but I do want to make a couple of quick comments.

Yes, I am a small cog in a big machine, but Curves was built by word of mouth. Word of mouth can tear down just as easily (sometimes even more so) as it can build. I may be one person, but everyone in my circle knows that I belonged to Curves. They ask me about it & I've already told some people that I've left & why. I told the owners/staff why I left. The story is spreading & not just online.

And, well, how is quitting not pro-active? I learned of a situation I didn't agree with/like & I took action to remove myself from it. Yes, it salves my conscious, but it also takes money out of Curves' pockets, so I really don't get how it isn't pro-active.

Yeah, there are other things I can do, but working on a limited budget here! :) I can only do the little things for now, but they are better than nothing and do have an impact.
