sam_gamgeeThe new bed was both good and weird last night. Good, because it's so comfy and not old and sagging in all the wrong places. Weird, because I'm used to the feel of my old mattress, and it's higher (about double the height).
And in contrast to yesterday, practically all of today was spent out and about.
Along with running a few errands, I had tech rehearsal for CSP's One Acts Festival next weekend. One of them has a transvestite in it and I think the gentleman playing the part makes a better looking woman than I do!
Tonight I went to the mall for a couple of things - one of which was to stop at Teavana and use my gift card that I got a while back. I was only planning on getting a bit of one tea, but I couldn't make up my mind between two of them, so I got both.
One is a rooibos tea, Zingiber Ginger Coconut - "The exotic blend of ginger, coconut and spicy black pepper complement our robust red rooibos in this caffeine free Ayurvedic blend. It provides a delicious departure from the ordinary."
And the other is a herbal tea, Swiss Vervaine Melange - "This comforting blend of vervaine and marshmallow leaf, ginger, and peppermint aids in digestion, relaxation of the body and mind. This tea is designed to help promote a better night's sleep and taste delicious at the end of a long day." And the woman helping me told me to be careful with this one, because it really does work in the sleep-aid department - she's tried it and about twenty minutes after she finished drinking it, she was zonked out. ("I feel like a medication commercial - don't drive or operate heavy machinery while drinking this tea.") While it seems like I'm always trying to fix my sleep cycle, that wasn't why I got this - it just sounded and smelled good. And, okay, I'll admit I was being a bit of a dork about the vervaine part.
And for fans of Band of Brothers, Major Dick Winters passed away today.
