I know it's an important duty, and it's one that I'm glad to take part in, but even so I'll be glad when the election's over.

Which reminds me - I need to find my voter registration card.

I'm gonna do the early voting thing.

And I wish it'd be over, too.

If I were living in the state Christine O'Donnell was campaigning in, I'd turn off the TV, the radio, never answer the phone, consider having my mail held at the post office till after the election. Argh.

Lots of luck there, honey.

Oddly enough, I've seen more commercials for Pennsylvania's election than I have for Delaware's, and I've only seen Christine O'Donnell's ad once - twice at most. *laughs* I think [livejournal.com profile] eternalmusings has seen the ad more than I have, from what she's said. And, thankfully, we haven't gotten a whole lot of calls, my dad usually gets the mail before I do, and I tend to change the radio station whenever commercials come on anyway. :-P

Thanks. I'm going to do some cleaning this weekend and see if it accidentally got placed in my 'to deal with' pile. Otherwise, I'll just make sure I have a bill or two with me with my name and address as well as my address. On an upside, I found online a copy of what my ballot will look like with my state representatives and such, so that'll help me be able to look them up and decide who to vote for.

And your icon seems rather apropos at this point. :-)

I have such worries that the country is gonna take a giant step to the right-wing this election.

Is it any wonder I'm trying to learn Swedish? (Not only because of my SkarsgÄrd addiction, see?) If I were young and fit, I'd be looking into moving someplace far, far away. Sweden, say, 'cause I don't think Canada is far enough away anymore.

I don't watch any TV, hardly, these days. I don't answer the phone if the caller ID says "political call" or "Republican party" or "Unknown Name." And I throw away all the political junk mail un-looked-at. So I have avoided much of the political ads.

Politics these days. Argh.

I know what you mean. I know there are people who think change isn't happening quickly enough, but I was telling [livejournal.com profile] eternalmusings the other day, it seems like so many people who wanted change saw that it was happening, said "Oh, crap! That's not what I really meant!" and are now trying to go back to the way things were.

I can't wait for the elections to be over as well. I don't bring a voter registration card with me when I go. Maybe you don't need to bring one. I am so sick of the junk mail coming to me (how many trees have to die for me to know that the opponets hate each other>) and the phone calls and the commercials. Still, we all should vote.

True, that.

A lot of people thought that Pres. Obama was gonna wave a magic wand and fix everything in 6 months. They were disappointed and are gonna take it out on him and all the Democrats in this election.

A lot of other people just knee-jerked anti-Obama/anti-progressive. And they're gonna go out to the polls to "take our country back." *sigh*

I hope they like what they get with a bunch of anti-government Tea Partiers who have no experience doing anything. Argh.
