Well, today was productive. I got my hair trimmed and finally bought a new jacket for the cooler weather. I also worked on some character sheets for a fic. (And I forgot how hard it can be coming up with characters sometimes. Though, I'm sure I'll thank myself later.)

I tried watching the pilot of Fringe, but couldn't get into it. I think part of my problem getting into it was the whole "something happening on a plane during a trans-oceanic flight" premise and it's like "oh, I've seen this before - it's called Lost". But I might skip to episode two tomorrow and go from there.

But I did really like the pilot of "The Mentalist". And I agree with eternalmusings - the premise is basically "Psych", but more serious. But for some odd reason, I like this show more than Psych.

The Fringe pilot is mostly good for introducing the characters. The case, is so-so. To me, it's been getting better with each episode. Not fantastic, but better. Let me know what you think of episode two. =)

I just got done mainlining the first season of Psych - thank you netflix! - and I find it entertaining and sometimes funny, but I'm not in love with it. (It's fun to spot the Stargate people though. They're everywhere!) Couldn't help noticing the similarities when I saw the ads for The Mentalist. So, it's worth trying? Damn, when is it on??

Yesterday I tackled the horror or horrors: I cleaned out the refrigerator! Emptied, unknown remnants thrown out (yuck!) and shelves cleaned. Go me!

Yeah, I've found it enjoyable the few times I've watched it with friends, but not as something I'd watch on my own. Yeah - Stargate's starting to have their own version of Canadian Actor Bingo. :-P I definitely think The Mentalist is worth giving a shot. It's on CBS on Tuesdays at 9pm. I know the pilot's up on the website (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/the_mentalist) - not sure for how long, though.

Congratulations on the cleaning! Any chance I'll get to see said refridgerator any time soon? I know we've said about getting together and then it just hasn't happened yet for one reason or another.
