Amid the nagging and such, my dad does have his funny moments.

Like, last night, I was telling him - in my normal, oblique way - about going to Shore Leave and when I got to the part where it was going to be in Baltimore, he was like, "It's not going to be in that run-down hotel with the truck stop is?" (where

connexions was) and I had to reassure him that it wasn't. And then he asked me who I was going to see and I told him I wasn't sure (since things could change - which I hope they won't).

And then tonight, he was telling me that his girlfriend is going out tomorrow night to see a movie with some of her friends. But he couldn't remember the title and this conversation ensued:
My dad: "Sex and the City? The City and the City? Sin in the City?"
Me: "Sex and the City."
Dad: "Wasn't that a movie before?"
Me: "No, it was a tv show."
Dad: "But it's not the same as Desperate Houswives is it?"
Me: "No." *tries not to laugh*

And in an unrelated note, I thought this was really cute.
