Neither the Colorado Avalanche nor the Detroit Red Wings made it past the first round of the playoffs this year for the Stanley Cup. At least the Avalanche went into over-time in Game 7 with the Minnesota Wild, where as the Red Wings lost 4 straight *games* to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. (What happened? Did they give the Ducks all their players or something?) And the Philadelphia Flyers actually won their series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

And I got another 92% on my G&L film paper. Yay! And we went to go see Leslie F. - an activist - tonight and he was really cool and very good.

Don't have to much to say about it, really. I love Lorne and I will forever be a Lornette. His little speech to the other gang was great. And "I'm not good with sports." I love Wes' shirt - even if it looks like Alexis wore one of his shirts to work one day, the costume people took one look at it and were like, "that looks great!" and let him wear it. I have an intense desire to go "HA!!!" A couple of episodes ago when Skip said, "How can you expect to defeat the master if you can't even defeat me?" and Wes did, I thought to myself (and then told some people), "I bet that Wes is going to figure out how to take this master-person out." And then when he was talking to that "Scorpion King"-type beastie, and figured out that her power was in her name, I was like, "Yes! See!" Even if Angel has to go and be "action boy" with what Wes figured out, he still figured it out! And like [livejournal.com profile] nakedwesley pointed out - it was a lot like Angel's perfect dream when Wes told him - they were in a cave-like area, fighting together, etc. I so can't wait for the next two episodes.

You are a sick Couch Potato with antique taste.

(This is actually [livejournal.com profile] eatstake, but I'm commenting from this account since it's where my Flyers icon is. *grin*)

The Red Wings going out in four to the Ducks was a shocker (though it brought a smile to my face) but when the Avs-Wild game went to OT, instinct was telling me we'd see the second major upset and I wasn't surprised at the outcome.

And of course, I just knew my Flyers were going to beat the Maple Laughs Leafs. :) I didn't expect a resounding 6-1 thrashing, but I definitely wan't complaining. I wouldn't have been able to stand it, though, if the game had gone into OT again. I love playoff OT hockey, but not when the season is on the line and one shot can make or break everything. I'm feeling really good about the Flyers this year and the way they've bought into Ken Hitchcock's system. We want the Cup! :)

Lol. Yeah, the Red Wings were a shocker since they've won the Cup twice in the past three years and made it very close a number of times in the past few. The whole Avs-Wild game I was a bit frazzled, hoping they'd win. I wasn't expecting 6-1 either. And at least Philly has one good team. :0P
