May. 6th, 2008 11:44 pmThis morning, I woke up at 6:33 and went "Oh, shit, my alarm didn't go off." Then there was a slight pause as my brain started to kick into gear, followed by a sigh of relief because on Tuesdays (and Thursdays), I don't have to wake up until *8:00*. So, I went back to sleep for another hour and a half.
My balance has been off lately and I don't know why. I know my left ear was a bit clogged up on Saturday, but that's resolved itself, so it can't explain me falling as I step off a curb tonight when I took Patch for a walk (and now have a bruise forming on my right shin), or the other times when I've found myself getting off-balance and starting to tip sideways for no apparent reason.
And speaking of things being off - I'm having some of my PMS crankiness during the actual event, which is annoying me. Thankfully, that's almost over.
Patch was cute tonight, though. When I got home, she did her whole, "You're home! You're home!" and when I went into the kitchen to put my things down, she followed me, then started looking between me and the basement door. I opened the door and she ran down to get her tennis ball, then came running back up.
A few minutes later, I was sitting on the living room floor playing with her while I called my mom and my brother to make plans for Mother's Day - neither of whom gave me anything specific. (Well, my mother's response was, "I thought we were doing something on Saturday. Besides, since it's Mother's Day, I think you should organize it." And my brother's was, "I'm out throwing discs [aka playing disc golf], I'll call you back in a few.") So, I hung up and looked at Patch, who was laying about a foot away and chewing on her tennis ball, and said, "Mom and Chase are frustrating to try to make plans with. Argh." Patch got up and came over to me, licked me, and sat down next to me.
