sam_gamgeeI helped a very nice older customer this morning that sounded a lot like Ryan Stiles doing his Carol Channing impression.
Let the book signing season begin! I had a book signing this evening for the US Poet Laureate, Charles Simic. The room - which was one of the larger classrooms in Memorial Hall, the English building, was filled to standing room and people were sitting on the floor. (I think part of this was due in large part to there being at least one, maybe two English classes there, plus the English Department's faculty tends to go to all these things to support each other.) He was actually quite good and I enjoyed it. (I'm not a big fan of poetry.)
