Feb. 7th, 2008 04:48 pmI'm at the library (again). Considering the fact that I work at a place where we ship things next day and such, you'd think I'd realize that someone being told at 6:30 pm that something's going to be overnighted to them, that it really won't be there the next day. (Yes, that was me believing that.) So, hopefully things will be back on track tonight. (*crosses fingers again*)
And I remembered yesterday's #5 - the Newark Library doesn't seem to like LJ - it's very slow loading its pages (whereas it's fine with everything else). The UD library, on the other hand, seems to have no problems with it.
6. (Because I feel like continuing this numbering thing.) There was a letter to the editor in today's newspaper that, while I agree this person is entitled to their opinion, in my opinion falls into the category of "Ummm....Right."
7. I gave in yesterday and read
All I really have to say is I think Woolsey's going to be an interesting addition and I feel that there's a lot of potential there. (And while I still like Sam for the most part, I'm glad she's not going to be the head anymore. I don't think that was the best fit for anyone.) And Carson's going to be back? Yay!!!(x1000000) And I'm excited about Daniel coming to Atlantis without SG-1. But, at the same time I'm glad he's not coming permentantly because I was thinking about it earlier and while he definitely should get credit for finding Atlantis, I don't think he belongs with/on Atlantis. For some reason, I can't picture him there in any sort of long term capacity. (Though, my mind's willing to be changed.)

Democrats look like other evil regimes in history
Listed below is the structure of evil empires from the Third Reich of Nazi Germany to the murderous rule of Soviet Russia under Josef Stalin:
Confiscation of civilian firearms so that people could not revolt against oppressive regimes.
Government control of communications media. Nazi and Russian propaganda swayed and controlled the minds of the populace.
Religion was outlawed and dictators were admired. Religion brings people together, capable of resisting oppressive government.
Unions were outlawed for much the same reason.
Taxes were increased to the point of being monumental. Socialist government would provide for the people.
This is the essence of the Democratic Party:
Gun registration and confiscation.
It owns the news media.
Despite hollow rhetoric, it is not the friend of the working men and women.
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are the same in their intentions as listed above.

8. Somewhere deep in my heart, I really, truly, honestly think that House M.D. might be the only show on television brave enough to let its two male leads hook up for real, and I’d almost consider becoming you know, religious again to plead for this only I don’t know if I can ask the Evangelical Jesus I grew up with to help me get canonical gay doctors. Never mind that this Republican administration has conducted a systematic assault on the Constitution -- and never mind that one of the Republicans running for the nomination (Huckabee) wants to amend that Constitution to bring it into line with "God's standards." No. Forget that. It's the DEMOCRATS who are undermining everything. *sigh*

Date: 2008-02-08 02:42 am (UTC)I swear to God, it's like, "Dude! Seriously! While we don't exactly believe like you do, at least we respect you enough to let you believe what we do while we know how to make everyone else on the planet think we're all sane people."
*sigh* is right. I know a lot of Godly Democrats and some not so Godly Republicans.
