Target for the month of January:
25358 / 25000 words. 101% done!
Target overall:
25358 / 250000 words. 10% done!
I'm right on track. Yay! \O/ This makes me insanely happy, in part because I don't think I've ever written this much in one month.
You have to love my family. I swear, I don't need to watch soaps with them around.
My brother comes home yesterday (he moved out at the beginning of the month) for some things. I was doing my own thing and after a while realized the house was pretty quiet, but that I hadn't heard him leave. When I go up to put some stuff in my room, I glance in his room and he's laying on the floor (his bed's at his apartment), fully clothed with an afghan wrapped around him and sleeping. I asked him, "Why don't you go sleep on the couch?" and he replied, "I'm okay."
(Also, he has my copy of A Dog's Breakfast - he accidentally packed it up. It's going to be "fun" trying to get it back.)
Then, tonight, I asked my dad during dinner what he was planning for Valentine's Day, since he and Cheryl have been going out for about seven months. And he was like, "I don't know." I was able convince him that, yes, he *does* have to do *something*, but that *no, taking her to Woody's is *not* a good idea*. So, it sounds like he's going to take her to Caffe Gelato. I just need to make sure he makes a reservation. At least he thought of getting her roses on his own.
