Dec. 23rd, 2007 12:43 amAww, Peter's cute when he's talking about MJ being his girlfriend.
Harry's still got a beef with Peter's part in his dad's death. Why does it seem like almost everyone has father or father-figure issues?
Wow, the camera shot for MJ and Peter on the web really is exactly the way it was in the preview.
You know, I'm saddened that the black web-substance wasn't Peter's webbing affected by his desire for revenge.
Oh, look the scene where we see that Sandman isn't completely evil and heartless.
Hahaha. Peter standing over Harry's still form and yelling "Harry!" as if that'd fix him.
Okay, Sandman literally pulling himself back together was cool.
Brock's totally Spidey Jr.
Hee hee hee. Stan Lee!
I bet there's going to be a shot of Spiderman from the fight he had with Sandman as his "hand in the cookie jar" shot that Jameson wants.
Lol - all the sand in Peter's suit.
MJ, dear, I know you've had a bad day, but stop being overly jealous.
This is sad that I'm about about half-way through and bored.
I don't like that the black suit is because of an alien substance. I wanted it to be more meta than that. I like the idea more of Peter's desire for revenge against Sandman becoming a living thing and taking him over rather than his desire for revenge being facilitated by the alien substance.
Okay, the fight scene in the subway is cool.
But I do like that it's having a negative effect on him right away. And his realization that it is and tying to break himself from it.
Hahaha. He's not dead, Peter.
Worst break-up scene ever!
Oh, noes! MJ breaking up with him for Harry is pushing Peter further over the edge!
Wow, that suit made quick work of Peter.
I *heart* Topher Grace.
OMG. *laughs insanely* Peter wearing that suit under his regular clothes is the funniest thing ever. And I know it's supposed to help show the change the stuff is doing to him, but - *continues laughing*.
See? Sandman's back.
Yeah, am really glad I didn't see this movie in the theatre. It feels kind of convoluted, like it's not sure what story it should be telling. And I think the Peter/MJ storyline's suffering because of it.
Heh. Brock calling God "sir". And I love that he always introduces himself as "Brock. Edward Brock, Jr."
I do like the meta idea of one person's anger, rage, etc., affecting someone else. And, also, how someone can be consumed by these feelings. (See: Peter shedding his evil suit and the alien substance affecting [or would that be infecting?] Brock to become Venom.)
I do like the parallels between Spider-Man and Venom.
Hobgoblin's using his powers for good now! All because of a peptalk from the butler! (Butlers really are the secret weapon.)
You know what? Peter, Harry, and MJ should all just set up house together. It'll be easier on everyone that way.
Yeah, I figured Harry was going to die.
I like that Spider-Man used sound to help defeat Venom.
I'm glad I rented this instead of seeing it in the theatre. I was expecting much more out of it.
