sam_gamgeeSo I did end up going to see my cousins. (I was able to decompress enough Wednesday night and yesterday that I felt okay in going.) It was fun, even though there were 14 of us in this little house. And I haven't seen any of them since last year, so it was nice catching up.
I do have to wonder about them, though. Because I felt like I was invisible for most of the time I was there. And I will admit that, as childish as it may seem, I'm a little put out that no one made any comments about my hair. Especially since the last time they saw me (and almost all of the other times before that), I had long hair down to my butt and now the ends are curling around my ears. So, I do feel a bit miffed about being somewhat ignored and no one noticing that I chopped my hair off. But otherwise I had a good time.
(I do realize that this makes me sound rather whiny and childish - which wasn't intentional, but it did kind of hurt to be mostly ignored for a few hours.)

tribalforces folks - my cousins who were hosting this shindig live on Keebler Road.
I'm now watching the movie Next and am quite enjoying it. (Then again, I didn't have very high expectations for it.) And I've come to realize that I'm one of the probably five people who likes Nicholas Cage. (And possibly the only one who finds him even somewhat sexy.)
