Today was a good day. The most productive thing I did all day was a load and a half of laundry. I did get up and go to WW (-3.4, don't ask me how since I was stress eating like crazy for a couple days - must've been the anxiety - when I'm stressed out, I get hungry), and then to Curves where I had a really good workout.

After that, I hit Panera and had a yummy sesame seed bagel with cream cheese and a frozen caramel coffee. It's scary that I've been there with enough regularity that one of the girls knows how I like my coffee and was telling the girl who was helping me. (Though, as I'm sure you could imagine, it takes up a little more than a fair share of my daily points, but it fills me up and I can go most of the day.) While at Panera, I also read some fic and wrote some. (I've found it amuses me to do this in a public place, just because I'm reading and writing slash. Kind of like the other day, working on a McShep/Lorne AU while sitting directly behind the USAF recruiting table in the lobby of my building.)

Went to Staples, so I could get some printing info because I want to print out a fic and make it look nice. Then came home and watched part of the UD-New Hampshire game with my grandfather. (He doesn't get the channel it's on at his house.) Delaware lost 35-30.

Then watched part of Live and Let Die while I did some laundry. So far, I think Sean Connery's a better Bond than Roger Moore, but I've only seen one Roger Moore movie. (I found it highly amusing that Connery's accent becomes progressively more pronounced over the course of his movies.) And you know what I find even more amusing? The fact that these movies are rated PG. If the same exact movie was released today, it would be an R.

Watched the penultimate episode of "Eureka"'s season 1 while eating dinner.
"H.O.U.S.E. Rules" is my second favorite episode now. And I love the fact that they address that Henry does so much for Eureka. (As amusing as his Velcro ID patches are.)

Then, I randomly decided that I wanted to watch A Dog's Breakfast with the commentary on. The commentary is done by David Hewlett, Jane Loughman, John Lenic, and David and Kate's mom. It's a bit schizophrenic, but it's lots of fun. Yay! David commented on how people today don't realize how important sound is for things. (It's a geeker thing for me.)

I love this whole thing where my dad's not home for the weekend and my brother's barely here and the most pressing things I have to do are a bit of laundry and grocery shopping.

Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me.

TV's Greatest Geeks
Rodney McKay, "Stargate: Atlantis"

Which drive is greater in Rodney McKay? His quest for knowledge? His hypochondria? Or his raging ego? I would have to go with the ego. But at least you can always count on him in a pinch. Mostly.

*snickers* But really, if they were trying to prove the geek factor, perhaps they should have chosen a pic of him WITHOUT the leather jacket? Or the stubble? Or the OMG-hot Withering Glance(tm)? MRROWR! *g*

Probably. But, you know what, he'd look hot anyway.

And what is up with the subject?

Well, y'know, I was thinking that you (Adrian) were trying to seduce me (Barrie and your other non-SGA friends) into being into SGA, via hot!Rodney. So I was going to title it "Adrian, you're trying to seduce me" or "Sam_Gamgee, you're trying to seduce me" (because the syllables are better), but then I realized that if I didn't explain that, it would sound...very odd. So I just went with the original. :-)

Well, I just might be, but I might not necessarily admit to it. *wink*

And if you had used my name, I would've had a good cackle and asked how I was trying to seduce you, not what it meant.

I just might be.

But you'll just have to wait until November to find out, now won't you? ;-D
