Aug. 13th, 2010 11:46 pmTonight's "Eureka" was fantastic! I adore Kavan Smith.
12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of worldbuilding? Any side-notes on it you’d like to share?
13. What’s your favorite culture to write, fictional or not?
I'm doing these together, since they kind of go together (and who knows what my posting's going to be tomorrow).
So far, the only story I've finished that has to do with worldbuilding is "Gaijin" (unless you want to count AUs - and most people don't). I don't know if I did the *best* job of it, because I've gone back to reread it and while I still enjoy it, there are moments where I know I could've done better.
And "Gaijin" holds a special place for me because it was the first time that I tried to do any sort of worldbuilding. But I'm starting to do some worldbuilding for a few stories I'm planning and and there's one that I'm really looking forward to doing that has some Arab and Middle Ages influences.
( The list )
