For this one, I'm going to go with this song, "Wherever You Will Go", by The Calling. It reminds me of the plane ride over to England when I did my study abroad there back in 2002.
(Oddly enough, it also reminds me of British actor James Frain, though I have *no* idea why.)
As for an Event, the first thing that pops to mind is "American Pie" by Don McLean. Which is probably really odd, considering it's about the plane crash that killed Richie Valens, Buddy Holly, and The Big Bopper - and happened about 22 years *before* I was born.
