My grammy made doughnuts yesterday for Fasnacht day (German version of Mardi Gras/Shrove Tuesday). Yum!

I don't know about all Presbyterian churches, but mine's never been very into obvserving Lent. Yes, we usually do a special sermon series during Lent that ties in with leading up to the Crucifixion, but that's about it. And this year is the third year that we're actually doing an Ash Wednesday service.

I hope everyone who's observing Lent finds it to be a good, spiritually fulfilling season.
