(no subject)
Jan. 17th, 2010 11:55 pmTonight was *AMAZING*.
I got to see Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood from Whose Line is it Anyway? do a show up in Wilmington. I got a great seat in the second row, orchestra, house left.
They both look the same as on the show, except Colin's hair is now completely white. (And there were a couple bald jokes (though, only one from Brad).)
In no particular order, they did Moving Bodies, Sound Effects, a "ventriloquist" game (where they supplied voices for two audience members as the four of them played a game show), The Love Doctor (where they were asked questions from the audience and alternated words for the answer), Finish the Sentence, Interrogation (Colin went out of the theatre, Brad got suggestions for things for the crime, and then Brad interrogated Colin and gave him clues so he could guess his crime), the Alphabet game - *but* this time, they were singing it in the operatic style, going through the alphabet backwards (b/c someone said A when they said not to pick A), and barefoot through a stageful of live mousetraps with blacked out goggles, and then they improved a song at the end.
And for the "Interrogation" game, Brad asked for a place name that's hard to pronounce, and chose Assawoman (which is a) a real place, b) pronounced like it looks) and you could tell that both he and Colin were both thinking, "This is a *real place*?"...and one of the things Colin was wearing when he perpetrated the crime was a kimono, but he missaid it as minoko, so that became a running joke for the rest of the night, as did the way Brad did his clue for the place name - McSmokey's - which he said was a Scottish woodsman who could prevent forest fires, but he did it kind of as as cross between Popeye and a leprechaun.
And here's a picture of the Alphabet song game. Colin stepped on a few and each time, Brad would rejoice and by the end of that game, they were (blindfolded) throwing them at each other and Colin hit Brad on the thighs a few times.
Sadly, they were whisked away right after the show, so I wasn't able to meet them. Hopefully next time. (They've been in my area and
eternalmusings' area a few times over the past few years, so I'm sure they'll be back near one of us soon.)
