Oct. 2nd, 2008 11:27 pmToday is my paternal grandparents' sixtieth wedding anniversary.
That's just...wow.
They were married on October 2, 1948, in Tamaqua, PA. They were both 21. (They were both born in 1927 - my granddad on March 25; my grammy on September 6.) They had to wait until after the war because both my granddad and his brother had been drafted. (My granddad was the shopkeeper on a Destroyer Escort - the USS Job, DE-707.)
My grammy said it was so hot and humid her hair turned into ringlets.
