Rush continues to go well. I've been doing textbook reservation handouts every day since last Wednesday. Which I don't mind, and actually kind of enjoy, but when you're stuck in one room for nine and a half hours a day and things have drastically slowed down - not a whole lot of fun. (We're doing pick-ups in the Rodney Room, for those of you who are familiar with the Perkins Student Center.)

On the upside, it appears that tomorrow and Thursday, I am going to be "outsourced" to one of our sister stores to sell books to the Academy of Life-Long Learning. Should be interesting. And, it'll get me out of Rodney for a while.

Though, I do have to share this kind of cute story. Last week (Friday, I think), a guy comes into the Rodney room and asks if that's where he signs in for his room. And I felt so bad because he was obviously a freshman and I had to tell him, "No, sweetie, the Rodney dorms are on the other side of campus. This is for textbook reservation pickup and the room just happens to have the same name."

And I had a dream this morning that a friend of mine was in. (Well, actually a few friends, including [livejournal.com profile] anaidiana, and at one point we were playing with silly putty, but I think that's probably neither here nor there.) Anyway, I think said friend was supposed to be the main focus of the dream, though he drifted out of it near the end. Now, the weird thing is that I haven't seen or talked to him for probably a little over two years, maybe more. And when I was with him in the dream, I felt so incredibly *safe*.

(Not that I don't feel safe normally, but this was a whole new level.) Just another one of those things that makes you go "hmm". And I wonder if his contact inforamtion is still good.
