Things have been good lately. Quiet, but good. Well, aside from considering putting myself up for adoption over the weekend because of my family, but, as most of you know, this is not unusual.

My grammy's doing really well. She's still somewhat sore, tires easily and complains that the skin around the incision is pulling a bit, but she's otherwise good. And she went to the doctor's today (or recently - can't remember which, since she and my grandda have both had a bunch of doctors appointments in the past week) and he said that she doesn't have to have chemo, she just has to take these pills - Arimidex, which is supposed to surround any cancer cells and not allow them to spread or something like that (can't remember exactly).

My Uncle Bruce, on the other hand - not doing so good. He had to go back into the hospital again, they think it's an infection. It's hard not to worry, even after all the stuff that he's gone through in the past few years and still pulled through.

Rented The Punisher over the weekend and definitely recommend it. It was much better than I had expected. And you gotta give Thomas Jane credit for doing most of his stunts - especially when that includes a fight scene with a guy who's 6'10 and 315 and TJ is only 5'11 and 185. But, yeah - go check it out.

Went to see Finding Neverland last night on campus with a friend and it was *so* good! Definitely recommend it. But be forwarned - you may cry. Johnny Depp's *amazing* in it (as he always is) and his Scottish accent is *amazing*. And it never fails - I tend to tear up when Tink's about to die in Peter Pan and when they showed that scene from the play during the movie, I did it again. Okay, I'll stop babbling about it now and just *strongly* recommend that you go see it.

After talking about it with some friends and thinking it over, I've pretty much made up my mind that I am going to show my mom one of my slashfics and that it's going to be "Galileo" (even though the sex scene will be edited - taken out, but you still know what happens but without the actual details). I'm glad my mom's a reader like I am because "Galileo" is (eep!) 87 pages long and I highly doubt that taking out the sex scene is going to make much of a difference. Now it's just getting up the guts to actually print it out (since I highly doubt she'd read it on the computer) and giving it to her. Oh, and trying to figure out a way of prefacing it that doesn't include me simply handing it to her with the preamble of "Here's one of my recent stories. Have fun reading." I think she should have a little bit more of a prep than that. Any ideas?

And two random questions:
1) Does anyone know if a person's body can affect the way their (non-digital) watch works?
2) Would/could writing a slashfic based on the movie Seabiscuit be considered RPS?
