Sep. 11th, 2003 11:59 pmClasses are going well. At the moment anyway. :0) PCM (Presbyterian Campus Ministry) is going well. We're going to be studying the book of Revelation (last book of the Bible) for the semester, so should be interesting.
My dad was so cute this evening. I was watching "The Simpsons" after dinner and he comes in and mutes the tv and was like, "Guess what I'm doing tomorrow night."
And I was like, "I dunno. Going out?"
"Yeah, but keep guessing."
"......"
"Come on."
"I really have no idea."
"I'm going out to dinner."
"Good for you." (Thinking this was the end of the discussion, but it wasn't.) "......And?"
"I'm going out with a lady named Roberta - well, everyone calls her Bobby(?)..."
They met once over the summer through a mutual friend at said friend's place. And my dad asked the friend about her recently and said friend replied that she had been asking about my dad as well. So my dad finally got "enough gumption" (his words) to call her and ask her out. It's really funny because my dad's *so* quick to not classify it as a date, but I can tell he's excited about it. I'm really happy for him. And he was like, "You're going to be on your own for dinner tomorrow night." Which shouldn't be a problem. If I can not destroy a chicken stirfry-type dinner the first time I've tried to make it, I think I can handle a bowl of soup or whatever. :0)
