Well, I was gonna write about my day in D.C. yesterday, but Regina,
libralyte, beat me to it. So go read her journal.
And I got some really nice feedback when I asked a list if they thought I should continue a Wes/Groo WIP that I'd put aside so I could deal with another bunny:
Sofy - "Me!!! *bounce* Me!!!! I love that fic... The question though, it shouldn't be if WE like it, but if YOU still like it. If it feels like a burden to write, then maybe you shouldn't... I love the fic and all, but you're the writer, not me, so if you want to work on another bunny, I'd say 'give it a go'..."
Shawna - "As you know I love that story! I've been waiting real nice like in my lonely dark corner playing with a showery fresh Wesley while waiting for it...But I can wait longer. Sweetie, if other plots are talking to you and you just don't feel in the mood to play with Groo and Wes, then take a break. One shouldn't feel like one has to write a story. If I'm making any sense. I have 35 unfinished stories in my handwritten folders. *35* plus some plot bunnies written on scratch paper. When I finish them in my own time I'll share them with friends but for know they sit in wait for what ever mood hits me. Like know all my half finished stories are waiting for me to finish Obsessed Need Of You. I'm having to much fun with that right now to stop but if feeling your story just isn't fun right now, push the story aside for now hon, I'm sure we'll love your other works. Just come back to it later, if or when the mood hits to play with your wonderful story."
And I just found out from a friend, and then
verified it myself, that Lynne Thigpen died yesterday. Most people today know her as Elle Farmer in "The District", although a lot of people my age know her as The Chief from "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" if they don't watch the first show. She was such a great actress. I'm going to miss watching her a lot.
