(it has happened to me, right in front of my face, my feelings can't describe it)

Okay... can you tell I'm in a good mood? :0) Let's see... Lots of odds and ends have happened since the last time I did a real update (about two weeks).

Well, before school started, I got a mole removed from the left side of my neck because it was growing in size and starting to get raised. So after it got taken off, it was sent to have a biopsy done (which is a routine thing) to make sure that nothing's wrong with it and all. Well, the results came back that it had some (harmless) atypical cells, and there were still some in the surrounding skin. So I had to go back to my dermatologist (who's actually quite cool) and she had to take some more skin off and stitch me up. And it felt weird because they put local anesthesia(?) in you so it doesn't hurt and so I could only feel pressure and stuff and it felt weird when she stitched me up. I felt really dissociated from the whole thing because I didn't feel any pain. The only way I knew that anything was happening was I could feel the pressure. (And a bit of "Oh, look - blood!" from the nurse dabbing it away.) I had six stitches in my neck for just under two weeks and I felt a bit like Frankenstein's monster. Which was funny in and of itself to me, because I had just finished reading Frankenstein in my English Lit class. And my dad kept making vampire comments (which was also amusing). But then I got the stitches out and I have a "nicely healing scar" on my neck which I'm proud of for some odd reason.

School's been stressful. I'm not doing that great in two of my classes - and they should be the easy ones! But I did really well on my first Audio project - B+. And I got a C+ (3 points from a B!) on my Audio midterm. Yay! ::Does a happy dance:: Just finished reading A Tale of Two Cities by Dickens for my English Lit class. I think that's my fav Dickens story. (Okay, so I've only read two others by him aside from the one that everybody knows - A Christmas Carol, but still.)

Regina thought that the Newark cinema was going to be showing "Rocky Horror" last night, since it was Halloween, so we both dressed up (her making me wear some of her stuff - including fishnet stockings) and we went down. But, alas, it wasn't. We might try tomorrow night. And fishnets are bloody uncomfortable to walk long distances in.

And now for some recommendations:
Movies: "Plunkett & Macleane" (on video and dvd), "Ghost Ship" (in theatres)
TV: "Alias", "Angel", "Buffy", "Firefly", and "John Doe"
Fanfiction: "Eyes Only" (http://www.myarseisnotpansy.co.uk/blog/index2.html) by Magpie, Lori, and Leslie; and "Tea and Biscuits" (http://www.paperdreamcreations.com/teabiscuits.html) by Wesleysgirl and Byrne. They're both rather long, the first is still being written, the second is slash, but both are *so* totally worth it. Main characters are Wesley, Spike, and Giles for both.
