Jan. 15th, 2007 06:55 pmIt seems like I can't win on the posting front. Either I don't post because there's really nothing to say aside from "same stuff, different day", or I don't post because there's too much going on and not enough time too post. Lately, it's been the latter. (Though, I think
spikesleman would rather I post regardless. :-P )
I had to dogsit over New Year weekend. Then the next weekend I had to go for a dress fitting for one of my best friends' wedding, since I'm in the bridal party. It was actually surprisingly easy, and I think the dress will look quite nice. Though, technically it's not a dress, since it's a skirt with a top. And I think it's funny that even though she told all of us that were there (because one had to miss) to pick whichever top we liked and thought would look good, we all ended up picking the same one. And the color is a deep red - maybe a shade or two lighter than crimson.
And then I've been pretty busy with the community theatre because they called me last minute to help out with a show called The Gin Game, which I'm sharing duties on. And now it looks like I'm doing the next show - which will be next month, and also doing the special production of Bent in March. Which makes me insanely happy because I had to read the play in one of my college theatre classes and saw the movie and absolutely loved it (which is odd, considering how depressing it is, but whatever). This means I'll have to miss
connexions (if it's even still happening), but that's okay, since I really want to do the show, plus I'm more excited about
tribalforces anyway.
And then this weekend, I had a really nice time with
nakedwesley. I went down to her place Friday night after work and then left this morning when she had to leave for work.
We watched The Upside of Anger - which was a bit odd; Happy Endings - which was really odd, but I liked much better than the first; The Sum of Us - a Russell Crowe movie that's quite sweet; and The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines - which was rather silly and quite cute, therefore quite a bit of fun; plus a number of SGA songvids. (Remind me that I have to show you a couple,
eternalmusings.) And there was also a fair amount of time devoted to fic reading.
nakedwesley also hooked me up with "The Return Part One" for when the episodes start airing again - just in case I miss the rerun of it (which, knowing me, I will). And she also set me up with the next few episodes after that, so it's going to be hard for me to be good and not watch them, even though she didn't spoil me, but say that they were really good. (Though, we did hear an interesting season 4 spoiler, but that's besided the point.)
We went over to her friends' C and D's house for dinner Saturday night (which we made tacos for - yum!) and watched a Graham Chapman video of a lecture tour he did in 1988. And then we played the 80s edition of Trivial Pursuit - lots of fun.
Oh, and never go to the supermarket about an hour before a Ravens home playoff game. It was crazy! I don't think I've ever seen so much purple in my life! (And it wasn't just jerseys!) Though, I'm sure the stores up here were the same for the Eagles.
And now I have to get ready since I'm dogsitting again this week (until Sunday). Downside - no internet. Upside - I'm going to get a bunch of fic both read and written, methinks. Plus, Christian Kane's new movie Her Minor Thing is supposed to be coming out tomorrow, so I'm going to stop by Blockbuster and see if I can snag a copy to watch tomorrow night.
