sam_gamgeeWent to my cousin's wedding today. And aside from waiting for the bride for almost an hour and being partially lost because it was a Catholic wedding and I'm Presbyterian, it was a very nice wedding. Though I did get a weird look from my dad near the end, when we were told to offer the "peace of Christ" (basically shaking hands with those around you and saying, "peace"). Well, one of the older women who was sitting near me, at the end of it, hits her chest and goes, "Peace" like a rapper or something which made a couple of us start giggling. And it was kind of odd that there were about a dozen of us on the groom's side and about 40 or so on the bride's side.
The reception was also quite nice and it was rather funny seeing my grandfather grooving a bit to the Black Eyed Peas. Also, my dad danced the Electric Slide for, I think, the first time. Quite amusing.
And we got the new internet stuff installed earlier this week - which includes wireless. I swear, my dad's geeking out about this whole thing more than I am. He found out about the laptop earlier this week and was asking me all sorts of questions about it and was quite excited about it. And he's also quite excited about the wireless and me being more mobile. (Which, given his history of "You spend too much time on the computer", is a bit odd because this would mean I'd have more freedom to really do it whenever I want. Though, I think the past few days have shown that that's not the case.)
