sam_gamgeeI have survived Move-In weekend.
It wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be, but that might be because I was working with the textbook reservation pickups. Yesterday was a bit crazy with all of the freshmen and their parents coming in to pickup. Today there was less volume, but it was constant most of the day. The upside is that about 95% of the people coming in are very nice about everything and just grateful that we're doing this. And there's only a small handful that what to know the whys and wherefores and hows of everything.
I worked 10 hours yesterday after working a normal week and then I worked 8 hours today. And I'll be working mostly 10 hour days straight through until Sept 7th, then I'll have the 8th off, work the 9th, off the 10th, then I'll have a normal week and start getting into my normal schedule.
Right now, SGA fanfic (and one in particular) and "Prison Break" dvds are what's keeping me going.
