Well, at least I know a couple of ways to try to fix it. (One of which being no more barbeques. :-P)
We had an impromptu barbeque on Saturday for my dad's birthday and another one on Monday because of it being Independence Day and all. I tried to be good, but it obviously needs some work. The fireworks were fun, though.
And I can say with some authority that my geek card has now been renewed up through next century. I geeked out over getting a copy of Finding Hope by Andrew Barriger in the mail today. (Seriously, his writing is like good crack. It's like finding a really good fanfic. I'm sure the book will be done by the end of the week, if not sooner. More than likely? The end of Thursday.) I geeked out (but not in front of her) when my mom and I were talking about "Galileo" and she asked me about this one little thing that I had asked her about months and months ago for the fic. (She liked the fic a lot and really liked the detail and stuff, but a) wants me to write something original b) wants me to write het.) I'm also a geek because I now have the AtS theme as my ringtone. And me being the theatre geek/sound person that I am - I even played with it to make it the way I wanted it.
I'm still in love with "Queer Eye". And I think I've fallen in love with Ted. :-P Barry's one lucky, lucky guy.
And tomorrow I'm going on another outing with Single Volunteers - wherein we will be helping The Wellness Center and I will be getting a correct name tag. (Yeah, how do you spell my name wrong after two emails and an eform - where my name will have appeared a total of *FIVE* - count them, 5 - times?) Bit I'm thinking a good time will be had.
Now back to working on the fic that will eventually be
