Kinda figured this would happen, between eating out more this past weekend, plus some stress eating due to being nervous/anxious about my interview this past Monday. But I'm going to get back on myself about snacking and drinking my water and I'm sure that'll help a lot.

The interview was with the New Castle Presbytery (which is the local authority for my church) to be the Mission Associate for Communications. (I think that's the title and if it isn't, it's something close to that.) It's basically to help build up communications between the individual churches as well as between the churches and the presbytery. Which could be interesting since, from what it sounds like, some of the churches in the presbytery don't even have answering machines, let alone email, etc. But I think(/hope) the interview went well and hope that I at least get called back for a second interview. Must remember to send a thank you note/card tomorrow.

But on the upside - [livejournal.com profile] libralyte came down to visit this weekend! It was so good to see her again! (Also loved the first thing she said to me - "My God, you're skinny!" And my thought was, "Well, not completely just yet," but the sentiment was greatly appreciated.) Went shopping with her Saturday afternoon for an outfit for my interview and I now have a pair of nice black slacks, a nicely fitted sky-blue (or "cyan", if you want the "appropriate" color name) button-down top, and a nice pair of slip ons that have a tiny (maybe inch and a half) heel. Then we met Beth and Amy for dinner. Tried going to Iron Hill Brewery, but they had a 50-1hr 20 min wait, so we went across the street to Klondike Kates, and they had a 40 minute wait, so we were like, "Whatever, let's just go down to the Deer Park", so we went down there and got a table right away. (We were going to end up at Deer Park anyway.) But we had a lot of fun. After Beth dropped us off, Regina and I ended up watching Ever After on tv.

On Sunday we walked around Main Street for a while so Regina could look in some stores and get a few things. It was a lot of fun. Then we hit Lettuce Feed You for some great salads before going to the movies to see Hitch - which I definitely recommend. Then we hung out with Beth some more and heard some more about her brother's wedding plans before she had to go home for a family dinner and we had dinner with my dad and grandparents. (And my grammy's doing great - still a bit sore in her right side from getting the lymph nodes out, but otherwise she's healing great.) Then Regina and I watched The Notebook (which I hadn't really wanted to see, but did enjoy), When Harry Met Sally (which I liked a lot) and the new version of Pride and Prejudice (which we watched maybe 20 minutes of and then turned off).

I joined FreeCycle today, so we'll see how that turns out.
