Today's highlight was going to Philadelphia for the annual Phantoms (Flyers' minor league team) game for my granddad's birthday. The sad part about it was that this will be the last year for it, since they're tearing down the Spectrum in the fall and the Phantoms will be moving to Pittsburg. While I, and I'm sure everyone else, would love to keep them in Philly, it's understandable that it's not exactly feasible to move them over to the Wachovia Center, since that's the home of the Flyers and the 76ers (basketball).

They played the Binghamton Senators (Ottawa Senators). And we lost. In a shootout. That went to eight shots. *headdesk* It was a good game, though. And we had a heckler on the aisle of the next section over who kept yelling "Zubov, you suck!" (He's a Senator.) And at one point, one of the plexiglass plates down in front of us broke and the top quarter fell into the laps of the people in the front row.

It was a lot of fun.

OMG I WAS AT THE SAME GAME! My knitting group was there for our annual sticks and stitches night. We were sitting in the corner on the Senator's starting side, same side of the rink as you. The glass didn't fall on you did it? That must have been scary coming at you.

Ha! :-D It actually didn't come at me. We were up in section 214, row 14. And it was funny because I kept scanning the crowd, figuring I'd probably see someone I know, but somehow I never saw you.
