luvxander and I had a great time with dancetomato and essene. Sadly, eternalmusings wasn't feeling well, so she wasn't able to come with us.

We went, along with dancetomato's nephew and essene's mom, to the Baltimore Aquarium. I haven't been there in a few years and it was fun going back and seeing all the fish. We also went to the dolphin show - which was fun.

And a funny moment of the day:
Me: I'm beginning to think this turtle you guys are talking about is a myth.
Nephew: What's a myth?
Me: It's a story - like about the Greek gods.
Nephew: And The Tortoise and the Hare?
Me: No, that's a fable.
Nephew: What's a fable?
Me: It's a story where you learn something.
Nephew: Oh, like Yertle the Turtle - where you learn that you can't always get what you want. *sings, a la The Rolling Stones* You can't always get what you want.
Me: *laughs*
Nephew: What?
Me: *innocent* Nothing.


After the Aquarium, we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was really yummy, even if I won't be eating for the next day or two.

It was so much fun being able to hang out with dancetomato and essene, since I haven't seen them in a few years. Hopefully the next time I see them will be sooner than that.

It was a fabulous time! It will be WAY sooner next time.

Also, on the way home, nephew asked ALL about Buffy. He had many thoughts on how to kill a vampire and there was much discussion on what Holy Water is. He was disappointed to learn it's not on anymore, even though I told him it was too adult for him. Definitely a fanboy in the making--but we already knew that.
