Well, Father's Day went well. We had a picnic today and some family came over. My dad and I actually celebrated on Thursday when I took him out to dinner and then we went to see Ocean's Thirteen - which we both really enjoyed. And while we were at the theatre, he saw a poster for Pirates of the Caribbean and was like, "I want to see that." So, I might go with him, or he might take Sheryl (who might be his girlfriend).
I'm going down to
nakedwesley's next weekend to help her get ready to move. I'm sure we'll have a great time.
The outline of doom is slowly shaping up. I've finished version 2.0 earlier today and now I just have to type it up and then I'll start version 3.0 after I get back from
nakedwesley's.
And,
libralyte - three things:
- I was in Teavana the other day and the guy that's helped us remembered that I had been in the store before.
- I had to call Supercuts for something and there's a girl named Fabiola there.
- Have you seen this Hot Fuzz vid?
I'm going down to

I'm in the middle of coming down with a cold. Grrr! Hopefully I'll be feeling better by the weekend. Will keep you posted.

I hope it'll clear up. Especially since it's against the rules or something to be sick on your birthday. Well, if you're not, I'll still come down and make you chicken soup and make sure that there's a continuous stream of David and Joe stuff on tv for you. :-D
And do you have any interest in seeing the Masterpiece Theatre version of Jane Eyre that they did back in, like, March or whenever?

Right now I've got the annoying head cold. Didn't get nearly as much done today as I'd hoped, but I'll probably call in tomorrow. Chicken soup (and David & Joe) sound good right about now. Hopefully it'll clear up quickly.
I haven't heard anything about a new version of Jane Eyre. Is anyone interesting in it? Not my favorite Jane Austin, but I used to watch MT all the time. Why do you ask?

Well, I hope you're feeling better.
Well, Toby Stephens is the only real name in it - he played a Bond villian in Die Another Day. I was curious because I knew you were a MT type and a) I do love Jane Eyre and b) I was thinking I could bring it down and we could pop it in while we were cleaning. And it's actually Charlotte Bronte, not Jane Austen.
And do you mind watching the series finale of SG-1 with me? Or should I tape that and watch it when I get home?
Oh, and I think we need to watch Where the Heart Is because I *ahem* saw some pictures (well, icons) and......yeah.

Yeah, I took a wild stab in the dark. Bronte...got it. You could bring it down. If I don't like it we can always shut it off. As for SG-1, I'm not completely caught up yet, but don't mind watching. I'm actually up to The Quest now! *Uses Cam icon because I never find a reason to, and he's pretty*
And I just found 'Where the Heart is' when I cleaned off my desk, so yay! It's cute and I never mind watching it. I think I know the *ahem* pictures of which you speak. Hee! Just to be fair we'll have to find the one clip of Flanigan's bare ass to drool over too. *eg*
I've made some packing progress, but the cold definitely slowed me down. Hopefully I'll get more done over the next two nights before you get here, so it doesn't look quite like the disaster area it does now. Off to bed now!

Okay. For some reason, I just feel in the mood to watch it. Yay for The Quest - I enjoyed that one. And, yes, Cam is pretty. He actually grew on me. And the only one I can even remotely pair him with is Teal'c. (And even that took a while.) Go figure.
And would said pictures happen to look anything like this? (http://halowrites.livejournal.com/1821578.html)
And good luck with the packing process.

Yep, those are the pictures. *g*
Hey, someone at works wants to know if I can work a little later on Friday. I told him I'd have to ask you. Want to come down Sat. morning instead, or later Friday, or should I just tell him I can't switch? Friday nights can get crazy sometimes and I'm afraid if I hit that certain hour I'll get stuck there. Watcha think?
I managed to sort through almost all of the rest of my books tonight. Say, your dad wouldn't happen to have a hand cart or anything, to help us get the boxes to the car, would he? I'm going to try and borrow one from work, but I think it's missing a wheel.

Honestly, I hope you don't mind, but I'd like to come down Friday night at the time I was planning to. Partly because I'm in my "I'm going on a trip! I'm going on a trip!" mode and partly because if I don't I have a feeling other stuff will happen and I won't make it down. Plus, I really want to watch the Gates with you. (And thereby start your birthday celebration early.) No overworking the day before your birthday! :-D
Knowing my dad - he probably does. But I'll have to ask him. And I'll see about getting one from work (though, no promises).
