*headdesk*

I'm beginning to hate my laptop.

Yesterday it worked fine and I was a happy camper and updated a few things on my external and submitted my SGA big bang fic.

Then little "Window automatic updates" icon popped up and I decided to update before I turned my laptop off, since I knew I'd have to restart it. I did the update and even though I didn't understand most of what it was updating, since it looked like security stuff, I didn't think much of it because security's good, right? It went to restart and now I'm cycling through the "blue screen of death" (aka, "your computer has encountered a problem and been shut down") and another screen that says "Windows could not be started properly". So I shut it off and figured I'd let it sit for the night.

This morning it wasn't any better. So I called John to ask what I could do about it. Guess what? I have to reload Windows again. If this happens a third time, I'm going to get a new computer, regardless of how new/old this one is.
